“Contributing to a stronger and more transparent market for Big Science organisations is a priority for ESA. The Big Science Business Forum 2018 brings together, for the first time, the main European organisations to present and discuss important topics related to the Big Science market,” commented Jan Woerner, ESA Director General.

The event on 26–28 February 2018 in Copenhagen, Denmark is organised by eight European Big Science organisations and is interesting to private companies, SMEs and other stakeholders to learn about business opportunities in the coming years, within a wide range of business areas.

Participants are invited to exhibit their products and services at the event.

The open exhibition area will be a place for business-to-business meetings (B2B), business-to-customer meetings (B2C) to network and establish long lasting partnerships.

Special sessions will provide an insight into procurement rules, intellectual property rights, technology transfer and how businesses can interplay with the Big Science market.

The eight European Big Science organisations preparing for the event are: European Space Agency (ESA), The European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN), , European Southern Observatory (ESO), European Spallation Source (ESS), The European Synchrotron Radiation Facility (ESRF), The European X-Ray Free Electron Laser Facility (European XFEL), Fusion for Energy (F4E) and Institut Laue-Langevin (ILL).
