High Level Forum with Industry on 12 October
The 6th edition of the High Level Forum with Industry organised by ESA’s Directorate of Industry, Procurement and Legal Services was held on 12 October at the Forum de Grenelle, in Paris.
The High level Forum gathered ESA directors together with major European space industry and institutions to discuss what is at stake for the European space sector.
ESA directors presented the current status of implementation of recommendations stemming from previous High Level Forums. Two round tables were organised with the participation of the ESA Director General, industry associations, presidents of National Space Agencies and the CEOs of major space industrialists.
The first round table was about the implementation of the Space 4.0 vision, and had two panels, one debating about public–private interactions, and the other about innovation and the effect of the digital revolution.
The second round table, in the afternoon, focused on the preparation of the future and the road towards the next Council Meeting at Ministerial level.
The meeting was closed with summary conclusions and way forward.
The results of these discussions will be used to elaborate on domains requiring further improvements. A final report on the outcome of this meeting will be tabled at the ESA Industrial Policy Committee meeting.
