Once all price elements have been entered and your sub-contractors' tenders have been integrated, it is time to produce the integrated tender at your level.

The tender file is physically different from the ITT file where you have been doing all the data entry work. It is a static image of your tender.

The tender file (extension .TEN) corresponding to your proposal has to be included together with the rest of the data pack.

When sending it to the upper-tier contractor, negotiations may occur that will lead to the necessity to adjust some values. These adjustments will be implemented into the ITT file and when all modifications have been performed a new version of your tender file can be produced and sent to the upper-tier.

It is possible that such negotiations occur at a very late stage, close to the proposal submission deadline. If the time is so critical that there is no time to perform the whole cycle then the upper-tier has the possibility to make global price changes in your tender file WPs. This solution is not as elegant as following normal procedure and will trigger the attention of the evaluators, which may detect potentially unsettled negotiations, so it is always better to avoid this fast-track solution.

You may produce as many versions of the tender as necessary. In case of important changes it is always advisable to make a back-up of the ITT file that has been producing the tender so you can gain time if you need to continue working on previous versions.
