ESA-Industry Partnership Programme calls for proposals
The ESA-Industry Partnership Programme for satellite telecommunication projects, ARTES Element 4, has an open Call for Proposals to which industry can submit proposals at any time.
ARTES Element 4 consists of activities identified by ESA, industry or national authorities as having clear applications potential. Activities proposed must be relevant for the satellite telecommunications sector which includes: space-borne equipment, ground segment, applications and all services involving telecommunication satellites.
Essential characteristics are the proactive role of industry and business in defining and proposing projects oriented to sustainable products, applications and services in the wide area of satellite telecommunications, and the sharing of funding between ESA and industry for the pre-competitive activities that will be carried out under this programme.
Although not a competitive tender, to achieve a higher degree of visibility the ARTES 4 Call for Proposals has for the first time been published on EMITS, instead of under 'EMITS News' as in the past. This does not alter the content of the Call for Proposals and any updates since the previous issue of 31 March 2004 are minor and mostly of an editorial nature.
