Register for the interactive webinar on 11 October 2017 with ESA Industrial Ombudsman, Jack Bosma at 10:30 CEST. Set up by ESA's SME Office, it is intended to help SMEs to understand his role and competences and hear about lessons learned.

The presentation and Q&A session will last for about 90 minutes and cover policies affecting the work of SMEs with some tips and recommendations regarding time-to-payment, a neutral cash flow, the prime operated indirect payment scheme and intellectual property rights, and more.

Advice on involvement in technology contracts and about work as a sub-contractor as part of an industrial consortium will be provided, based on past cases and complaints received.

Companies will also have the opportunity to ask questions.

The Industrial Ombudsman function started in 2000 and focused on Industry-to-Industry relations in ESA procurements. This included offering mediation in industrial disputes and facilitating appeal cases in ESA "Best Practices".

Since 2009, the Ombudsman can also investigate procedural breach of ESA Procurement Regulations. In 2015 arbitration and mediation in Framework Supply Agreements in the launcher industry were added to the role.

To register for the Webinar which is limited to 30 participants, please send an email to sme-office@esa.int, mentioning your name, company and ESA bidder code. You will receive login details after a successful registration.
