The next round of internship opportunities at ESA will be published in November 2020, remaining open for one month. The internships last from three to six months and opportunities are available in engineering, science, IT, natural/social sciences, business and administration services. Exceptionally this year, due to the uncertainties arising from the COVID-19 pandemic, the student internships programme will be offered remotely. Read on to find out more!

What will change this year?

“To be able to work within the parameters of the COVID-19 measures currently in place in ESA Member States and Cooperating States  and across ESA, we have had to rethink how to run the student internships programme for this year. While we still want to offer internship opportunities to students, their health and wellbeing is our utmost priority,” said Florence Loustalot, Coordinator of Entry-Level Programmes.

“That is why, in 2021, student internships will take place remotely. Only for very rare exceptions (for example, where access to a laboratory is essential), will opportunities be hosted on site. This means that if you are selected for an internship, you will telework from your place of residence. Your ESA tutor will welcome and guide you virtually and will accompany you throughout the duration of the internship by digital means.”
