Job vacancy: Head of the Mission Operations Division in the Operations Department, Directorate of Science
A new post for the Head of Mission Operations Division has opened up at ESAC, Spain. Under authority of the Head of the Operations Department, the post holder will be responsible for the management of the operations and for the execution of the science operations of the Directorate missions, after successful completion of in-orbit commissioning.
The Head of the Mission Operations Division is an active participant in the research activities of the Department and ongoing research by Division personnel and a leader in maintaining and developing Division members’ expertise to meet current and future needs of the missions.
The applicant should have experience in science operations, preferably in the context of ESA missions, knowledge of space projects and competencies in managing large technical and scientific teams,
