Make a note! ESA YGT opportunities now advertised in February
The timetable for recruitment of Young Graduate Trainees is changing in 2020. In the past, YGT opportunities were published mid-November. From now on, they will be published every year in February and will remain open for one month. As we will still welcome our YGTs in September/October, this change brings the selection process closer to the actual starting date.
Our high-calibre YGT programme lasts for one year and gives successful applicants an opportunity to gain valuable experience in the development and operation of space missions. Each year, we offer about 100 job opportunities, aimed mainly at graduates in science and engineering, information technology, natural or social science or business.
The new timetable will therefore look like this:
February – March: Publication of YGT opportunities on Careers at ESA
March – April: Pre-selection and interviews of shortlisted candidates
June: Outcome of interviews and final selection made by ESA
September/October: Successful candidates take up duty
Make sure you check back in February to see what’s on offer in 2021, or subscribe to Careers at ESA to never miss our news and job alerts!
And in the meanwhile, whet your appetite by browsing our YGT pages to find out more about the programme, full details of what we offer and who can apply.
