ESA / About Us / ECSL - European Centre for Space Law

We would like to wish a warm welcome to Bibi Khan as the ECSL Student Representative for 2023-2024. The role of the Student Representative is voicing the ECSL student community at the bi-annual ECSL Board Meetings and work with the Executive Officer to promote and ensure opportunities for student members throughout the year.

In order for the rest of the ECSL student community to get to know their new representative we asked Bibi to briefly introduce herself

My name is Bibi Khan and I am a 21-year-old Law student from the United Kingdom.

My experience in Space Law began when I undertook my year abroad at the University of Vienna, Austria. I took part in the Manfred Lachs Space Law Moot Court 2023, representing the Viennese Team. We made it to the European Finals of the Competition. After this, I took part in the ECSL Summer Course on Space Law and Policy 2023, held in Budapest.

It was a pleasure to meet a wide range of those with similar interests during the ECSL Space Law and Policy Summer Course, and I endeavour to keep in touch with and encourage others to join the ESCL community!

I am excited to be your Student Representative and am looking forward to helping you in your journey into Space Law. This is a great opportunity for me to be able to voice your opinions or suggestions during the bi-annual ECSL Board Meetings.

Keep a look out for the upcoming ECSL Events, especially if you are a Member - and stay updated via our Instagram page @europeancentreforspacelaw

Please feel free to reach out to me via LinkedIn or email bibifatimahkhan@gmail.com for any advice, questions, or to convey any suggestions you have to make your experience with ECSL a better one.

We look forward to having Bibi on board in the coming year!
