Student Representative 2018 - 2019
The Board and Secretariat of the ECSL wish to extend a warm welcome to Ms. Morgane Royer as the ECSL Student Representative for 2018-2019. The role of the Student Representative is to represent the ECSL student community at the bi-annual Board Meetings and work with the Executive Secretary to promote and ensure opportunities for our student members throughout the year. In order for the rest of the ECSL student community to get to know their new representative we asked Morgane to briefly introduce herself.
Morgane: Hello, my name is Morgane Royer, I am from Paris, France. I hold a double degree in international law and translation and I will soon graduate from a Master in Space law and telecommunications from the University of Paris. I am also currently studying at the Versailles bar lawyer school.
I’ve always been passionate about space affairs! The day I discovered the existence of space law I knew this was going to be my specialisation.
In May, I participated in the Manfred Lachs Space Law Moot Court in Lisbon and this summer I took part in the ECSL Summer Course in Helsinki. This is where I was elected by my fellow participants as their student representative and I am very grateful for their trust and support.
I’ve benefited a lot from ECSL initiatives which is why I wanted to take part in its continuity. I would like to promote space law among the student community and strengthen it within the great family that is space law.
If you have any suggestion, question or would just like to discuss your ideas feel free to reach out to me by email (morgane.royers@gmail.com), LinkedIn or Facebook.
