ECSL-UK NPOC Regulatory and Legal Workshop, London
Together with Bird & Bird LLP, the Satellite Finance Network and Access Partnership, the ECSL is organising a Regulatory & Legal Workshop on 4th December 2015 in London. The ECSL is delighted to be collaborating with the UK National Point of Contact in this event which will look a wide variety of issues, such as the regulation of small satellites, insurance and space debris.
2016 European Rounds of the Manfred Lachs Space Law Moot Court Competition
The ECSL is pleased to announce that the 2016 European Rounds will be hosted by the University of Strathclyde Law School in Glasgow, UK in April 2016. Precise dates will be posted at a later date.
Registration for the competition is now open. All relevant information and documents can be found on the competition page on the left hand side of the ECSL website.
2016 Practitioners' Forum
The next Practitioners' Forum will be taking place in Room A at ESA's Headquarters on 18th March 2016.
The theme of the event will centre on The Exploitation of Natural Resources in Outer Space.
This event is open to all ECSL members. If you are interested in becoming a member, please do not hesitate to contact the ECSL.
Young Lawyers' Symposium
The first ECSL Young Lawyers' Symposium will be taking place on 17th March 2016 at ESA's Headquarters in Paris, France.
This inaugural event will give young lawyers the opportunity to present their research focusing on the general theme of The Legal Framework for Space Activities – Encouraging or Favouring Industrial Investment.

2nd ECSL Student Essay Competition
The second edition of the ECSL Student Essay Competition saw a high number of students from all across Europe register their interest.
This year, the theme of the essay was the current and prospective legal regime for non-orbital flights.
Final submissions were due on 2nd November 2015.
