Within the scope of its incubation project 'COSMi Bauma', Verimatic GmbH has developed its first product, ISO-Fleet, a satellite-based security system that monitors construction machinery and individual, real-time locations online.

The system, addressing mainly operators and owners of heavy construction machinery, employs new web-based monitoring and control tools, which are used to manage a virtual 'machinery park'.

The system is designed not only to prevent theft of construction machinery, but also to save fuel and support personnel costs in utilisation planning and calculation.

Data are collected and analysed by the system and are available online, enabling machinery parks to be controlled from anywhere. Moreover, the data can be utilised for multiple purposes: fleet management, machinery maintenance, error analysis, and planning and cost evaluations are just some possible examples.

The technical prototype has already been successfully fielded and tested extensively in a pilot phase with an experienced road construction engineering company. The next step is market entry.

The interdisciplinary team at Verimatic comprises seven members and shows how an idea can quickly grow into a technology company when accompanied by dedication and technical know-how.
