Members of the media are invited to ESA’s Technical Centre in Noordwijk, the Netherlands, to take a last look at Europe’s experimental spaceplane on 9 September.

The Intermediate eXperimental Vehicle (IXV) has undergone two months of extensive testing at ESA's test facilities and will soon take its last journey before launch this November on board a Vega rocket.

In a mission lasting 100 minutes, IXV will flight test the technologies and critical systems for Europe’s future automated reentry vehicles returning from low orbit. This is a first for Europe.

Media briefing

On Tuesday 9 September, ESA’s IXV project manager, Giorgio Tumino will be available for interviews. Photos and videos made during the tests conducted at ESTEC in recent months, will be available.
