The Space Group ready for Rosetta grand finale
We are just 2 days away from the soft landing of the Rosetta spacecraft on Comet CG/67P and the end of satellite operations. The millions of measurements made will keep scientists busy for many decades to come. Rosetta is expected to execute its ‘collision manoeuvre’ on 29 September at 20:50 GMT / 22:50 CEST, at an altitude of about 19 km from the comet. This will set it on course to collide with the comet on 30 September within 20 minutes of 10:40 GMT / 12:40 CEST.
