Following the success of the first International Security Symposium, ESA is pleased to invite those working in the field of security in national and international organisations, as well as within industry, to attend the second edition of this Symposium on 7 and 8 March 2012 at ESRIN, in Frascati, Italy.
By putting together all the experts in the security sector, the Symposium provides a unique opportunity to increase understanding and raise awareness by addressing current security issues among public and private, international and national organisations.
The Symposium will take place over two days. It will commence with a plenary session on “Intelligence and security within international organisations”, during which a number of keynote speakers, including representatives of NATO, the EU Council, EPO, OECD, ENISA and ESA, will address these issues and how they are dealt with in their organisations.
To ensure a high degree of interaction, participants will then be able to take part in five panels. The subjects under discussion will be: Defence in depth, Cyber intelligence, Business continuity and disaster recovery (BCDR), A holistic approach to security and the role of national security agencies, and Personnel security.
Participants will also be able to visit the Exhibition Hall, where ESA’s industrial partners will present their products and solutions.
