    INFOSEC

The term INFOSEC covers the security of electronic information and communication systems with respect to the classical requirements of confidentiality, integrity and availability. Nowadays the term is often extended to cover authentication and non–repudiation as well.

ESA’s computing and communications systems are built to enable efficient electronic production, dissemination and storage of information, and to provide appropriate protection according to the classification or marking of the information. Users should play their part by adhering to some simple rules when using ESA's information and communication systems as documented and available in the Corporate Intranet.
