ESA astronaut Pedro Duque from Spain watches a water bubble float between him and the camera, showing his image refracted, on the International Space Station during the Cervantes mission in 2003.

Pedro Duque first flew in space as a Mission Specialist on the Space Shuttle Discovery during the STS-95 mission in 1998. During the 10-day ESA Cervantes mission in October 2003, he flew on Soyuz TMA-3 and carried out an extensive experiment programme on board the International Space Station. He is currently Director of Operations of the Spanish User Support and Operations Centre (USOC) in Madrid.
