With the second pair of Galileo spacecraft recently launched from Europe's Spaceport there are now four satellites forming a mini-constellation enabling to check the European Navigation system in space and on the ground.

Galileo will provide several services, in particular the so-called "Search and Rescue" service, embarked for the first time aboard the 3rd and 4th IOV satellites.

For these services new technologies had to be developed with the help of several SME's in Europe.

This video describes the different technologies needed for Galileo satellites with the involved companies.
