This 27 March a Soyuz launcher will send two new Galileo satellites on orbit.

Launch from Europe's Spaceport is scheduled at 18h46 Kourou time, 21h46 GMT.

The Galileo Satellites navigation system stays on track after the successful in-orbit validation and more recently the news that the satellites launched on the wrong orbit last August appear to be working correctly.

Before, in 2013 and 2014, Galileo systems were tested and validated with a mini-constellation of only four satellites and their associated ground segment, showing that the performances were good, even beyond expectations.

Now with the launch of two more satellites ESA and the European Union are fully into the deployment phase.

This video presents the status of Galileo launch campaign with latest images from Kourou and recalls what is at stake for the European Navigation programme.
