ESA Astronaut launch to ISS: Live coverage

Follow the launch to the International Space Station of ESA astronaut Andreas Mogensen this 2 September.

The first Danish astronaut will fly onboard the Soyuz TMA-18M capsule with his crewmates Soyuz spacecraft commander Sergei Volkov and Kazakh cosmonaut Aidyn Aimbetov from Baikonur Cosmosdrome in Kazakhstan. 

Lift off is currently scheduled at 04:37:43 GMT, 06:37:43 Central European Time, 10:37:43 Baikonur time.

Docking to the ISS and ingress will take place on the morning of Friday 4 September.

Overseen by a team at the Columbus Control Centre in Oberpfaffenhofen, Germany, Mogensen will conduct an intensive series of experiments during his short duration mission.
