The UK Space Agency has launched the Principia Grant Scheme for organisations contributing to the education and outreach activities for ESA astronaut Tim Peake’s mission to the ISS in November.

The scheme offers up to £100K to organisations and individuals with great educational and outreach ideas. Between 2 and 10 proposals are expected to be funded and applications are now welcome. The scheme is open to organisations and individuals who meet the eligibility criteria.

This opportunity will be supplemented in due course by a further announcement for schools.

Successful applications must:

  • support the education aims of the UK Space Agency
  • be directly linked to Tim Peake’s mission to the ISS
  • encourage participation in STEM subjects
  • be completed by Tuesday 31 January 2017

Applicants should complete the application form and return it to the UK Space Agency no later than
9 a.m. on Friday 27 March 2015.

Selected applications will be invited to submit a full, detailed proposal of their scheme to the UK Space Agency by Friday 17 April.
