Talk on ESA and UK Space Agency
On Thursday 16 September, David Williams, Chairman of the ESA Council and acting Chief Executive of the UK Space Agency will give a talk about the work of ESA and the UK Space Agency at the Royal Aeronautical Society in London.
The UK is a founder member of ESA and one of its main contributors. The new UK Space Agency was launched in March to replace the British National Space Centre and to bring all UK civil space activities under one single management. The UK Space Agency is responsible for all strategic decisions on the UK civil space programme and provides a clear, single voice for UK space ambitions.
David Williams took over as Chairman of the ESA Council on 1 July and and will lead the work of the ESA Council for the coming year. Under his chairmanship, this governing body will have to deal with issues critical for the future of the Agency and the European space sector.
