Pilot Cycle - 2016
The pilot cycle of the Fly a Rocket! programme took place in 2016 and 2017, with the launch campaign starting on the 27th of April 2017.
20 students participating, representing 20 different ESA member states.
The students named their rocket Volares-1, but, due to poor weather and launch constraints were not able to launch during their campaign week. Two more attempts finally led to the launch on the 31st of May 2017 and it was followed live online by all the participants!
