ESA organised in September an international training course for giving astronauts a taste of real exploration conditions.

ESA’s astronauts Tim Peake and Thomas Pesquet were joined by Randolph Bresnik from NASA, Norishige Kanai from Japan and Sergey Ryzhikov from Russia for this 12-day course, that sent participants to dark, cool and humid cave for six days.

These photos are taken by Vittorio Crobu and the astronauts.
