ISSEF funding

Space for collaboration

Through this education undertaking ESA will be reaching out to the students, teachers, government ministries, decision makers, and influencers in no less than 16 European countries. It is a huge undertaking, and it is one we cannot do alone.

There are many organisations and companies within Europe, working in the fields of space, technology, science, education, publishing, and many others, who have already indicated that they want to work in partnership with the ISS Education Fund. We are now offering the opportunity to become a funding participant in this programme.

By joining the ISSEF, you will become a member of the leading community of national and international organisations, from the worlds of space, education, and industry, who are coming together to promote space and the ISS in education. You will join organisations such as UNESCO, the European Commission, the space industry, government ministries, and exceptional individuals, including Nobel Prize winners and European astronauts, who have already pledged their support to the ISS Education Fund.

By working with us, you will be stimulating and harnessing the imagination and intellect of Europe's youngsters, supporting the creation of a more scientifically and technologically literate population, and helping build Europe into the leading knowledge based society of the 21st century.

Space for funding

The ISS Education Fund (ISSEF) was legally established in July 2002, within the framework of ESA, as a non-profit-making entity, in order to support the work of the ISS Education Programme. External participants sit on the Board in either honorary or funding roles, providing input, expertise, and advice.

To kick-start the Fund, almost one million Euros of seed funding, and administrative support, has been provided by ESA.

We are now actively seeking additional external contributions from appropriate organisations.
