Space Shuttle Discovery arrives at Launch Pad 39A ahead of STS-120 mission

    Discovery moved to launch pad

    1 October 2007

Space Shuttle Discovery was moved to Launch Pad 39A at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center, Florida, over the weekend, in preparation for the launch of mission STS-120, currently scheduled for 23 October.

The STS-120 crew, which includes ESA astronaut Paolo Nespoli, are currently completing their mission training at Johnson Space Center, Houston. The crew are due to visit Kennedy Space Center next week to take part in a launch-day dress reheasal - the so-called Terminal Countdown Demonstration Test (TCDT).
