    Simonetta Di Pippo starts tweeting

    10 February 2011

ESA Director of Human Spaceflight, Simonetta Di Pippo, is now on Twitter. She will tweet regularly on http://twitter.com/sdipippo about the latest news of HSF programmes.

Di Pippo will be in Kourou, French Guiana, where the ATV-2 will be launched on 15 February at 23:13 CET. Through her Twitter account, she will post the latest news related to this important milestone and achievement for Europe and will share on-site pictures from the launch pad.

“I am delighted to offer this new channel of communication to all those who want the most up-to-date information about the HSF programmes”, says Di Pippo.

“Paolo Nespoli is also doing a great job in sharing with us his experience of being onboard the International Space Station. I am sure that his tweets have inspired many young people to be fascinated in space matters. Microblogging platforms such as Twitter are fantastic tools to broadcast our activities in a fast way and from a unique point of view”, she added.
