ACES operational concept
ACES Operations
ACES will be operated from the ACES User Support Operations Centre (USOC) at the CADMOS facility in CNES Toulouse. Operations make full use of the existing European ISS infrastructure and ground networks including the Columbus Control Centre and a special network of microwave terminals which are linked to the most stable and accurate ground clocks available.
The ACES USOC also interfaces with the ELT data centre which coordinates the operation of the satellite laser ranging stations such as the Geodetic Observatory Wettzell in Germany.
