DLR - Simulation Facility for Occupational Medicine Research (AMSAN)
The multi purpose research facility is designed for investigation in the area of aviation and space medicine and human factors. The facility is capable of housing up to 8 subjects at a time and providing for environmental control (artificial light, climate, sound proofing). It can be operated as a closed system and run in complete isolation from the outside for days or weeks.

Per agreement. Manned exposure under Isolation / manipulated conditions. 8 subjects simultaneously.

As this facility is used in multiple experimental scenarios it is necessary to ensure the compatibility with the schedule.
Depending on personal support needed from DLR-staff members (running of facility and experiments), the access probability is object of particular contracts. The rate per day for the facility itself is approx. 200 Euro.
