FSL Experiment Container for investigations on enhanced methods for heat transfer in a loop heat pipe demonstration in FSL.
The aim of the experiment is to investigate the possibilities of heat transfer enhancement in microgravity in view of meeting the thermal control requirements of next generation space exploration systems.
An evaporator/condenser based loop heat pipe model is studied to better understand the involved physical phenomena. Together with theoretical calculations, the qualitative and quantitative results of this experiment should lead to correlations and design rules for microgravity conditions.
