TNO - Usability Lab
Technical data
The Usability Lab has a flexible number of rooms that can be used as user's rooms, the control room, and/or the observation room. The rooms are connected via a computer network, and a routing system for all the audio and video signals that allows us to basically send any audio or video signal originating anywhere in the Lab to any other place. From the observation room user behavior is watched and recorded via a video system. We use the software package “Observer” for video analyses, and/or the test tool “TIATO” for task and question provision and interaction logging. The lab has an eye-tracking device and tools for measuring mental load.
