    The Science Community

The ACES Science community is composed of two groups:

    • The Investigator Working Group (IWG) co-chaired by the ESA project scientist and the ACES scientific coordinator supported by 22 scientists from 6 countries
    • The International Users Committee (IUC) is composed of a further 60 scientists from 10 countries

The IWG monitors and advises the ACES Project/Operations Team on all aspects affecting ACES scientific performance. The role of IUC is to investigate, promote, and exploit ACES for scientific, engineering and commercial applications. This role is accomplished via three Topical Teams, representing the incubators of ideas, important for maximizing the scientific exploitation of the ACES mission.
