Life Sciences Research in Space Simulation Using the Model of Bed Rest

Please note that this Announcement of Opportunity has been closed.

The Directorate of Human Spaceflight Life Sciences Unit at ESA/ESTEC has published an Announcement of Opportunity soliciting proposals related to:

    AO-06-BR
Life Sciences Research in Space Simulation Using the Model of Bed Rest

ISSUED at 16:00 CEST, Wednesday 12 April 2006

See 'Download Area' in the right navigation bar for associated documents in Word and pdf formats.

ESA's Bed Rest Study Programme is funded by the ELIPS-2 programme, and open to coordinators who work for scientific institutions based in the 14 ESA Member- and associated Member States that share the costs of ELIPS-2. Coordinators who are based in the remaining 4 ESA Member States are also invited to submit proposals, but may be asked to obtain additional national funding in excess of the investigator-related costs, in order to cover an appropriate part of the operational expenses.

Selection of proposals is via a scientific merit review, evaluation of space- and space simulation physiology/medicine relevance, and feasibility assessment.
