    Space for Health
    Space is playing an increasing role to support various aspects of Health. An overview on recent, current, and planned projects supported by ESA can be found under the different domains of health described below.

    Wellness 

    Wellness Research being carried out in conjunction with preparing our astronauts to survive the conditions of spaceflight is also contributing towards terrestrial applications towards wellness of humans terrestrially.

    Medicine 

    Medicine Medicine is the branch of health science and the sector of public life concerned with maintaining or restoring human health through the study, diagnosis and treatment of disease and injury.

    Europe Pollution Map

    Environmental Health Environmental factors can affect human health in important ways, both positive and negative. Positive environmental factors sustain health, and promoting them is preventive medicine.

    Public Health 

    Public Health Although not widely known, ESA supports the public health of the citizens of Europe using its broad selection of assets at its disposal. A glimpse into the domains of public health and the diverse projects supported by the Agency is provided below.
