Special memorial to honour Italian space pioneer

    Carlo Buongiorno
    27 February 2012

Prof. Carlo Buongiorno, co-founder of the Italian space agency ASI, played a fundamental role in the Italian space plan and marked the history of space in Europe. To honour the legacy he has left behind, such as the recent Vega maiden flight, an international memorial day took place on 27 February in Rome, Italy.
