Discover how Sentinel data support local and regional authorities by following the event live from the European Parliament in Brussels at 15:00–18:00 CEST on 28 June.

Europe’s Sentinel satellites are delivering a wealth of information that can support local and regional authorities in territorial management and environmental policy implementation. However, this opportunity is not always fully known or readily exploited.

The event “What can Sentinels do for Regions?” will discussing the potential of Sentinel data as a support for these authorities in their undertakings, considering possible roadblocks and desirable initiatives. Regional applications of Sentinel data will be highlighted, followed by an audience discussion with the political panel on how to best exploit Sentinel data in support of public services across Europe.

The event is jointly organised by ESA and the Network of European Regions Using space Technologies (NEREUS), and is hosted by Patrizia Toia, Member of European Parliament and Vice-chair of ITRE Committee.
