    CryoSat-2 – ESA's ice mission

    Knowing the extent of ice and, in particular, its thickness is important for understanding exactly how Earth’s ice is changing in response to climate change. Climatologists will soon have help from space to determine this. CryoSat-2 is the theme of this edition of space.
