MSG-1 is installed on its payload adapter, the ACU 1666, and placed into its payload container, the CCU2. The satellite is transferred from the S5-A building to the final assembly building. The transfer is done at night (19.30 to 22.00) to avoid the heat of the sun.

MSG-1 has successfully passed its launch readiness review and is all set for lift-off on 27 August. Its co-passenger on Flight 155, Eutelsat's ATLANTIC Bird satellite, has also been cleared for launch.
