New Envisat images available
South Africa - MERIS - 6 July 2002
A dozen new Envisat images have been posted in the Envisat Earth Images gallery.
Now available in the Earth Images gallery is a dramatic view of Hurricane Elida off the Mexican coast in late July acquired by Envisat’s MEdium Resolution Imaging Spectrometer (MERIS) instrument. Other new MERIS images in the gallery include South Africa, the eastern Mediterranean, Switzerland, Austria, Finland, the Baltic Sea, North America, Greenland and the North Sea.
A new image acquired by the Advanced Along Track Scanning Radiometer (AATSR) sensor shows most of the United Kingdom, the Brittany region of France, and Spain.
