Engineering/Qualification Model undergoes calibration dry-run

The GOME-2 dry-run calibration of the Engineering/Qualification Model took place in September and October 2001. Representative data sets were acquired and preliminary results indicate correct instrument performances.

The instrument was kept in a vacuum at operational temperature. During this dry-run the overall calibration concept was validated. Most calibration procedures, stimuli and set-ups were briefly exercised and the design of the calibration facility and stimuli was validated.
