Service Module
The Service Module (SVM) interfaces with the launch vehicle and the Payload Module (PLM).
It provides the following service functions:
- attitude and orbit control, including propulsion
- electrical power generation
- distribution of commands
- telemetry generation, telecommand processing and various application functions
