A great dramatisation of the crucial 'GO/NO-GO' roll call in ESA's Main Control Room just before the dual Herschel-Planck launch, scheduled in reality for 16 April 2009.

The dramatisation shows a tense moment in the Main Control Room at ESOC, the European Space Operations Centre, when the Flight Operations Director calls on each supporting team to confirm their readiness for launch.

The clip was extracted from "Touching the Edge of the Universe," a stunning new full-dome planetarium show now in post-production and due for debut in May 2009.

The show was shot on location using actual mission control engineers, many of whom are working on the Herschel and Planck missions.

Co-produced by leading European planetaria and the European Space Agency, "Touching the Edge" is one of the most exciting and imaginative celebrations of science and discovery during the International Year of Astronomy (IYA) 2009.
