Newest submitted images - Ian Musgrave
An interesting animation and our first stereo image submitted by Ian Musgrave, Adelaide, Australia. Ian writes: "G'Day All: Please find attached a stereo image and an animation made from the VMC images of 8 August 2008."
Ian wrote on his blog:
"The image to the left is a red-green-stereo anaglyph, you should click on the image to enlarge it, and put on those silly red/blue stereo glasses to see the 3D effect. The effect isn't ideal, and the craters don't seem to have as good a 3D effect as I would have hoped, but it is not completely rubbish."

Comparison viewESA's VMC Webcam project lead, Thomas Ormston, further created this comparison image using one of the raw images that Ian used above for the animation. Thomas writes:
"Here is one of the stills from Ian's animation compared with its original from us. I think it would be interesting to publish this too, just to show how much detail can be extracted from the original, slightly blurred image."
