CDF welcomes visitors from the Canadian Space Agency
In Week 11, four engineers from the Canadian Space Agency (CSA) visited the CDF to gain insight into how concurrent engineering is applied at ESA to the assessment of future missions.
The visit provided the opportunity to exchange information and ideas about systems engineering and concurrent engineering practices, as well as cost engineering models and standardisation processes in the two agencies. The CSA representatives were also invited to observe first-hand the progress of a few concurrent design sessions. The concurrent engineering methodology is of interest to the CSA for possible applications to their projects and design environment. The visit was carried out in the frame of cooperation between ESA and CSA.
