What applications and missions does Software Product Assurance enable?

Software is everywhere and makes a larger and larger contribution whatever the system - this is especially true for space systems. Though software systems could be developed without Software Product Assurance, the criticality and impact of failures or maladjustment in ESA missions drives programs to use the “safety net” of Software Product Assurance. Therefore ESA Software Product Assurance provides support to all space segment programs either flight or ground based.
