In July 2019, ESA’s Technology Programme team invited representatives from agencies, industry and academia to participate in their three-day Space Engineering and Technology Final Presentation Days (SET-FPDs) to share and discuss the main results of our technology programmes in the areas of:

  • Space electronics with a special focus on sensors and detectors (CD01) and power ASIC (CD04)
  • Propulsion (CD07)
  • Space Operations (CD08)
  • Digital Engineering and Artificial Intelligence (CD09)
  • Space Safety and debris (CD10).

The event took place 2-4 July at the European Space Research and Technology Centre in Noordwijk, the Netherlands, and was joined on 3 July by the European Space Operations Centre in Darmstadt, Germany.

During the event, industry and academia presented their final results of technology developments within ESA's technology programmes TDE (Technology Development Element) and GSTP (General Support Technology Programme). The final presentations were complemented by keynote speeches and a dedicated exhibition area that allowed entities to showcase their results and foster discussion and networking. ESA representatives were present to discuss about on-going and future R&D activities as well as technology transfer opportunities.
