In fulfilling our role within the Agency, we ensure that our team of experts is always up to date with the latest technological developments and scientific know-how in the field of space optics by encouraging and supporting our experts to publish and present papers at the major relevant international conferences. Our team members also participate actively in and we promote the dissemination of know-how in the domain of space optics particularly directed at the next generation of engineers and scientists, by organizing workshops and master-classes.
Increasingly we are called on to provide our expert knowledge and measurement capabilities to the benefit of third party research institutes, Small and Medium Enterprises and Business Incubation Centre start-ups, many of whom do not have the specialist capabilities themselves in-house.
