ESA’s Technology Transfer Programme Office (TTPO) has opened a call for proposals for Technology Transfer Demonstrator projects, directed at determining and eliminating technical risks in using existing space technologies for new terrestrial applications.

These projects involve developing and proving new hardware and software from European Space programmes that increase the chances of the core technology being transferred from space to the ground.

ESA will make a contribution up to €39 000 to the cost of each selected proposal.

Priority is given to projects with a genuine customer focus, where there is a clear selling proposition and a quick but realistic timetable for implementation.

The call is being managed by the Satellite Applications Catapult, which is the prime coordinator of the ESA Technology Transfer Network.

Applications must be submitted by email to ESA-TT-Demonstrators@sa.catapult.org.uk and be received by 12:00 CEST on Monday 30 September 2013. Proposals must be submitted according to the format and instructions detailed here.

Applicants will be notified of their success or otherwise by October 2013. Selected projects are to be completed by May 2014.

Please include: company / project name in the subject line of the email for identification purposes.
