At the end of 2013 the two ESA Business Incubation Centre (BIC) Darmstadt start-up companies GeoMon and MaVinci performed various test flights with their new Real Time Kinematic - Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (RTK-UAV) technology.

This picture was taken during a flight over a recultivation area near Heidelberg and Frankfurt in Germany and shows the play of colors at this time of the year in Germany.

The collaborating between the two ESA BIC start-ups provides a fast and easy service for high resolution geographical aerial image acquisitions. By the use of MaVinci's UAVs, GeoMon can picture most land areas at reasonable costs. Images can be taken with resolution up to less than 2cm/pixel and UAV missions can easily be flown daily or weekly and with short notice.

Combining the service and expertise of the two companies provide value added turnkey solutions, with aerial UAV data acquisitions, post-processing of the images, analysis and interpretation of the data and the delivery of final products to the customers.

The two companies also support customers with expertise and further data analysis to fulfill specific customer requirements as well as the generation of other products like 3D and orthophoto models.
