ACCORD CNES-ESA

France/Europe: The CNES and the ESA signed a co-operation agreement on 21 June 2001 covering the Corot and Microscope scientific missions. The agreement calls for the ESA to supply telescope optics and testing facilities for the Corot astronomy satellite, at a cost of Euro2 mil. ESA will make a Euro5 mil contribution to the Microscope micro-satellite by supplying micro electrical motors. Both satellites are scheduled for launch at end-2004.
